ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL

Adult Sunday school is an opportunity for adults to connect with others to share spiritual growth and study. We offer fourteen different Sunday school classes. Each group has a different format, topic, and study focus. We invite you to visit one or several to find the right place for you.

Christians in Action "CIA"- A 206

Primarily married couples in their 20's and 30's. This class was created to meet the spiritual and social needs of young persons in our congregation and community.

College - A 307 (Holy Grounds Coffee House)

This class meets when college students are in town. Life application and the importance of Christian friends and community are the focus of this group. Fellowship and mission opportunities will be explored..

The Discovery Class - A 106

Primarily couples in their 30's and 40's with new & established church members. The class lessons vary from Bible studies to social issues, and the teachers will vary too. Discovery plans regular social events to allow members to get better acquainted. Click here to go to the Discovery Class website.

DUCKS - Room E 111

This new class is made up of single and married persons of a variety of ages who are dedicated to intense study. Topics will rotate between Bible study, Biblical character studies, and topical studies. A dedicated portion of class is spent in prayer.

Friends & Fellowship - E 210

Primarily married couples in their late 30’s and 40’s. Study topics vary over a period of time and include Bible Study, seasonal studies (Advent/Lent), issues of Christian living (e.g., parenting), and current events interpreted in light of the Bible. This class enjoys frequent social gatherings.

Good News - Room E 206

Single and married persons in their 50’s and older. Curriculum for the class is the Adult Bible Studies series based on the Revised Common Lectionary. Thus, scriptures used in worship are studied in class as well. Other selected and seasonal studies may be interspersed from time to time. Some class members share in the teaching responsibilities and occasional social gatherings are held.

Great Expectations - Room A 103

This is a group of people generally in their 30s to 50s. It is a group who welcomes visitors and new members like long-lost friends! We pursue studies in topics ranging from traditional bible study, history of biblical times, Christian parenting, and living a Christian life in a not so Christian world. Topics are chosen by the class. This group is marked by its great discussions. It is not only the perfect place for someone who has an opinion and wants to share it; it's a perfect class for those who like to soak it all in with no pressure to share. Please join us!  

Growing Christians - Room E 207

Primarily married couples in the 30’s to 50’s. A wide variety of topics are studied, including Bible study, lifestyle and social issues, and Christian living concerns. Topics change approximately every 6-8 weeks. The class regularly participates in mission projects and has occasional socials.

The Journey - Room A 202

Includes adults of all ages, both married and single. The Journey class views the life of faith as an individual and corporate journey. Bible study is the focus of the curriculum as the class discusses relevancy of biblical passages to our lives today. Similarities and differences between the Old and New Testaments are examined.

Searchers - Room A 203

Adults of all ages, married and single. The Searchers class mission statement is, "Growth in Our Christian Living Through Open Discussion and Scriptural Application." Several class members share teaching responsibilities using a combination of lecture and discussion. Topics of study vary, but emphasize Bible study and its application to our daily life. The Searchers class created the Prayer Garden in the courtyard, provides monthly support for a missionary couple, and assists in other church projects.

Seekers - Room A 204

Adults of all ages. The class employs a discussion format with verse-by-verse, in-depth Bible study.

Trekkers - Room E 200

Married and single adults, who are mostly in their 50’s and older. Several members share responsibility for leading the class discussions, using contemporary literature. Topics focus on applying Christian principles as they affect our everyday lives. Such topics include discipleship, spiritual development, seasonal studies (e.g., Advent, Lent), and Bible study. The class also enjoys occasional social gatherings.

Women’s Class - Room A 205

Women of all ages, married and single. A supportive fellowship and a warm, accepting learning environment are enjoyed in this class. A variety of Bible study formats are utilized as the group seeks together to discover new meaning and application of the Bible for Christian living today. Various Bible study materials and seasonal studies are employed. This group participates in various mission projects.

Young Adults - Room A 307 (Coffee House)

This class is combining with our College Class for the summer months. The purpose of this group is to encourage young adults to engage in the life of the church and in community with each other.
