Nurtured Heart Approach
Calling all parents, grandparents, school teachers, day-care workers, scout leaders, and Sunday School teachers! Come join us and learn the Nurtured Heart Approach! You will discover how to spend your words wisely to create inner wealth in your children.
These techniques can transform intense children who are out of control into children who appreciate their gifts and use them effecively in their world. It helps all children flourish!

Presenter for these workshops is JWUMC member Joyce Davis, MEd. LSSP, educator for 25 years. The workshop is based on the book “Transforming the Difficult Child” by Howard Glasser. The book is available at the church for $13 or at any bookstore. Sign up at the church. Certified to offer CEU’s for teachers.
Joyce Davis, MEd. LSSP received her Masters in Guidance and ounseling from University of Houston in 1973 with advanced studies and certification in School Psychology. She has worked as a teacher, school psychologist, mother, scout leader, and Sunday school teacher. In 2008 she became an advanced trainer in the Nurtured Heart Approach (NHA) and has been sharing this valuable information with all who will listen since that time. With 40 years of experience interacting with children of all ages, she believes that this is the best way of raising strong, reliant, responsible, happy children who embrace their God given gifts and challenges to become the people they were created to be.
