BAPTISM SUNDAY | AUGUST 15, 2021
The sacrament of baptism is an act that looks back with gratitude on what God's grace has already accomplished, that is also fully present now and looks forward to what that grace will accomplish in the future. With baptism, we anticipate a lifetime of further and deeper experiences of God and further acts of Christian commitment. When we become Christians, we receive new identities, and through baptism, God initiates a covenant with us and celebrates with us our new identity in Christ.
Join us for Baptism Sunday on August 15!
We will celebrate the sacrament of baptism during both sanctuary services at 9:00 am and 11:15 am. All baptized persons are welcome to participate in a Remembrance of Baptism, while those who have not been baptized may receive baptism through pouring or sprinkling. Following the 11:15 am service, persons interested in an immersion baptism are invited to our outdoor pavilion.
If you have never been baptized and would like to make your public commitment of faith, contact Arlene Rollins at 281-444-2112 or at email@example.com to register, and indicate whether you prefer to be baptized inside during worship, or outside following worship.
