John Wesley UMC, in partnership with the Houston Food Bank and Bridging for Tomorrow, hosts a bi-monthly Community Food Distribution in our parking lot. The distribution is free and open to anyone in need of food in the community.
MANY HANDS MAKE LIGHT WORK
There is much to do, and we need volunteers to pull it off! There is something for everyone, from set up, to traffic control, to data entry, to loading up vehicles with food, and tearing it all down when it is over. Serving at a food distribution is a great way to activate your faith!
If you know someone who would be blessed by this experience as a volunteer OR a food recipient, please invite them to come! (We encourage school and church youth groups to participate as well, but teens under 16 will need an adult chaperone.)
Our next distributions are on Saturdays, June 26 and July 24 at 10:00 am. If you would like to volunteer alongside us again or for the first time, click on the link below to register for your time slot. You'll be glad you did!
