Dear JW Family and Friends,
We at John Wesley UMC would like to reassure you that your health and safety are our first priority. The CDC has strongly recommended that we all practice “social distancing” by taking measures to avoid unnecessary contact with large crowds and confined gatherings of people to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
Our leadership team has made the decision to suspend all activities on the JW campus (preschool, meetings, studies, and worship) through Sunday, April 5.
Though we cannot gather corporately as a church, fortunately, we live in a time when technology can still bring us together. We will continue to bring you Sunday worship online through Facebook and on our website and will update you on other online learning experiences as they come to light.
As always, if you need prayer, you can count on us. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with prayer requests, and also please make us aware of any needs you have. We may be able to help!
Our prayer for this week is that Christians everywhere demonstrate the peace of Christ in loving, helping, and encouraging our neighbors during the global effort to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus.
Remember to continue your regular giving online at www.jwumc.org/give or drop off your check at the reception desk during normal office hours.
So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without His unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever. – 2 Corinthians 4:18
