JW ADULTS

Church is a community where people do life connected.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially since the day of His return is drawing near.
– Hebrews 10:24-25

Sunday Morning Groups

Adult Sunday Morning Groups are held at various places on campus at 10:05 am. Gather together to connect to one another and grow as disciples together. JW Groups provide a place to connect with others, love each other, grow together, and encourage one another! Groups are open to anyone, and there is something for everyone! We encourage adults to try out a Sunday group to find the perfect, connecting fit. Visit the New Here, Start Here Kiosk in our Welcome Center this Sunday, and ask how you can get connected.

Weekly Groups

Through Bible study, special events, mission projects, seasonal programs, MOPS, and prayer, women of all ages within our community are encouraged to enrich their relationship with God and to reflect God's light to our community.

Discipleship Pathway

At various times throughout the year the Discipleship Pathway is offered to equip new and mature Christians into become a disciple-maker.  We believe in being disciples and making disciples. We encourage our adults to participate in the Discipleship Pathway, which intentionally brings greater connection, grows your faith, and equips you to disciple others.  Discipleship Pathway sessions happen throughout the year following Wednesday Night Dinners. Check the event calendar for dates to begin your journey.

Once you choose a path, remain on it and make your way through each of the CONNECT, GROW, and ACTIVATE studies each session during Wednesday Night Studies until you complete all 5 paths. The Paths may be completed in any order. For more information on how to begin your pathway, contact Priscilla Novak discipleship@jwchurch.org or 281-444-2112.

Make Disciples Path

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, and surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.  – Matthew 28:19-20

We were birthed into being disciple-makers at the time of our faith in Jesus Christ. It is also at the core of our mission as a body of Christ at John Wesley Church to connect people to Jesus. The Make Disciples Path is a series of studies designed to help you as a believer develop and grow as you seek after the heart of Christ to become and live out the life of a disciple.

As you apply the teachings of His word to your daily life, you connect your faith story to the gospel story! The Jesus Life Path is designed to help you develop in service to God, others, and the church. Wesleyan Theology Path

Scripture, tradition, reason and experience are four of the key attributes connected to Wesleyan theology. Where did these concepts arise from? How do they fit together? What impact could they have on my personal faith development? The Wesleyan Theology Path helps you to understand the history and heritage of the Methodist movement; how practical theology orders the life of faith; and the unique theological emphasis that the Wesley’s used to spark a robust and inclusive evangelical revival in England and America.
